Kudremukh

Last week end was little adventurous to me… For the first time, i went for a trekking with my college friends..we were planning for an outing long back and finally we decided to go for a trekking in Kudremukh.. Dayalu got some contacts with Capture-Earth, who organizes trekking and this place we have decided was a riverside trekking - River Badra…We left Bangalore on Friday night and reached Bhagavathi national park campsite on Saturday morning. To start with, we went to a place called Ganga Moola.

Ganga moola

Ganga Moola is the origin of River Tunga Badra. It was a small cave and we couldn’t see water flowing there, but the place was damp. On the way to Ganga Moola we bump into lot of leeches, Luckily I escaped there. Few of my friends had no choice than donating their blood to those little yucky and scary creature.

After visiting Ganga Moola, we started our riverside trekking we started from Kadambi falls and walked along River Badra. Again we came across lot of leeches and this time I was not lucky enough and those worm like leeches started getting in to my shoes..F***, I started screaming badly and it literally gave me a heart attack, My friends and Anitha (instructor from Capture) helped me in removing those leeches. Poor thing, except for me the leeches started sucking the blood out of people who helped me. Then I ran to the safest place and since then it was fun.

we had to walk along the river..Had to get into the river..Had to do rock climbing…Had to walk in four legs..The best part about the trekking was we got a chance of exploring the nature.. The water in the river was crystal clear..those huge mountains and the mist..Wow!! the experience was amazing!!!

Next Day we went to Hanumangundi falls…this falls is in between a jungle surrounded by huge rocks.. Apart from the slippery rocks, this place is also awesome…

On the way back to Bangalore we went to Lakya Dam, Hanging Bridge and a 500 year old Shiv Temple.

While coming in the bus we were speaking about our college stories, pulling each other legs, playing Dumb-C.

Over all we had a very nice time and looking forward for my next trip :)
